CEO Phong Le announced during a recent keynote address that Strategy Inc. plans to publish an open-source Bitcoin standard model in the coming months. The model will be designed to assist corporations interested in incorporating Bitcoin into their financial strategies.
The U.S.-based business intelligence firm, known for its aggressive Bitcoin accumulation, said the framework will offer a blueprint for companies seeking to integrate BTC into their balance sheets. The announcement comes as Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings reached 555,450 BTC, following a recent acquisition of 1,895 Bitcoins.

Model to Expand on 2024 Bitcoin Standard
Le stated that the upcoming framework will build upon a Bitcoin model the company introduced in 2024. Unlike traditional internal strategies, the new version will be publicly available based on the Strategy’s direct experience with Bitcoin as a reserve asset.
According to Le, the decision to make the model open-source aligns with the company’s intention to increase transparency and provide practical insights for corporate finance teams. He emphasised the need to evolve current financial models to reflect the role of digital assets, particularly Bitcoin, in modern corporate treasury management.
Bitcoin-Centric Corporate Finance Book in Development
In addition to the model, Le disclosed that Strategy is developing a corporate finance book aimed at defining best practices for operating in what he described as a “Bitcoin standard era.” The project, which remains in progress, seeks to formalise the company’s financial philosophy based on its multi-year experience with Bitcoin adoption.
“We are writing the book as we go along,” Le said, suggesting it may serve as a future reference in academic and professional settings. No release date was provided for the book.
Strategy began acquiring Bitcoin in 2020 as a treasury reserve strategy and has since become the largest corporate holder of the asset. The company’s approach has drawn attention from both institutional investors and policymakers, with its moves often seen as a bellwether for corporate involvement in cryptocurrency markets.
While the upcoming model and book are still in development, the announcement signals Strategy’s continued commitment to promoting Bitcoin as a foundational element of corporate finance strategy.
