Bitwise Asset Management, a digital asset investment firm, has partnered with fintech platform iCapital to make its crypto investment strategies available on the iCapital Marketplace, the companies announced Thursday.
The agreement allows financial professionals using iCapital’s digital platform to access Bitwise’s active crypto strategies, which include a range of approaches aimed at managing volatility and diversifying portfolios. The move reflects a growing interest among institutional and wealth-focused investors in cryptocurrency as an alternative asset class.
We’re excited to announce that Bitwise has now joined iCapital Marketplace, enhancing access to crypto as an alternative asset class for the more than 100,000 financial professionals on the $228 billion platform.

Expanding Access to Crypto Strategies
Under the new arrangement, Bitwise’s suite of active crypto investment solutions is now accessible to more than 100,000 financial professionals who use iCapital’s platform. These strategies employ a multi-faceted approach that includes non-directional, tactically directional, long bias, and special situations investments.
Bitwise says the strategies are structured to pursue risk-adjusted returns while maintaining a low correlation with traditional financial assets. The offerings are managed by a team with experience in digital asset portfolio management, derivatives, and risk analysis.
The integration is intended to streamline access to cryptocurrency investments for professionals managing assets on behalf of institutions, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. The firms did not disclose the financial terms of the partnership.
Crypto’s Role in Diversification
Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said the company has observed a growing institutional engagement with digital assets in 2025. “Crypto is rapidly emerging as a new alternative asset class, with unique drivers that can make it a compelling diversifier in portfolios for investment professionals,” Bitwise CEO added.
The addition of crypto products to iCapital’s platform comes amid broader shifts in portfolio construction, where advisors are increasingly incorporating alternative assets to manage risk and improve returns. iCapital’s Marketplace offers a range of investment products from global asset managers and aims to simplify how advisors allocate capital across traditional and alternative markets.
Founded in 2017, Bitwise offers a variety of crypto-related products, including exchange-traded funds, private funds, and separately managed account strategies. The firm also provides educational resources for advisors and institutions looking to understand digital assets.
iCapital, based in New York, operates a digital investment platform designed to facilitate access to alternative investments. The platform supports asset managers and financial advisors by providing end-to-end technology and operational infrastructure for private market offerings.
The partnership between Bitwise and iCapital comes as interest in digital assets continues to rise, even as regulatory uncertainties and market volatility remain key concerns for investors.
